Histogram Query

1. Open samples/query/histoga.SPC
2. Select Histogram from the Chart menu
3. Set field to plot to .0317 Diameter
4. The ending date is by default set to today's date. Change the Starting date year to 1991.
5. We will add a filter. This part is optional and used to narrow the result. Set field to Dimple Symmetry, Condition to < and Value to 0.001.
   
6. You can now view or edit SQL or run the query by pressing OK.

Scatter Query

1. Open samples/query/scatter.SPC
2. Select Scatter from the Chart menu
3. Click on Select right of Field To Plot
4. Select .0317 in the left window and .0635 in the right one.
5. The ending date is by default set to today's date. Change the Starting date year to 1991.
6. We will add a filter. This part is optional and used to narrow the result. Set field to Dimple Symmetry, Condition to < and Value to 0.001. The window should look like this:
   
7. You can now view or edit SQL or run the query by pressing OK.

Using Query by Example

1. Select Setup | SPC Edit from the main menu.
2. Select the file samples\query\example.SPC.
3. From the Fields to Analyze group box, select the field Width.
4. Click the Edit button.
5. Check the Product Filter check box and press the Set… button.
6. You will see the Product Filter dialog box. Click the Query By Example button.
7. Click Yes to the confirmation dialog box that will appear.
8. Select Operator from the Fields group box.
9. Select Exact Match from the Search Type group box.
10. Type David in the Field Value edit box. Click OK.
11. You will be returned to the Product Filter dialog box where you will see the resulting SQL statement and the result of the query.
12. Click OK on all dialog boxes until you are in the main AT-Sigma SPC window.
13. Open samples\query\example.SPC.
14. The chart displayed is now showing the queried data
